Truth in Love – blog entry

This was written a while back but I have been waiting for the right time to make it available; God indicated this is the right time, confirmed by the fact that several teachers, preachers, and prophets have been speaking the same things as of late.
We will examine Acts 10:34-36 however, for context read Acts 10 and 11 when times allows.
34 Then Peter opened his mouth and said: “In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality. 35 But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him. 36 The word which God sent to the children of Israel, preaching peace through Jesus Christ— He is Lord of all—
Acts 10:34–36 (NKJV)
Christian Denominations have done the same as the Biblical Jews, built a wall or barrier of prejudices. We are but One Body in Christ Jesus and One Church yet; to look around the Christian Community you would not know that to be so.
Diversity seems celebrated nowhere less than in the Christian Community. If we have a mandate to love, which we do, why then is this not true of our Body. No, we are not to love “sin” or even accept sin among us but anyone who has read my writings for very long knows that is not what I am advocating. We completely and totally reject sin but we do not reject one another.
The excuse that doctrinal differences are the reason for our barriers and prejudices is unacceptable unless those doctrinal differences are grounded in A – A denial of the Deity of Jesus, the Christ, the Messiah and the only source for the Salvation of mankind or B – The denial that the Holy Bible is the inspired infallible Word of God. Not anything outside of that will most likely determine if your brother or sister will stand beside you in the Heaven.
These barriers and prejudices are weakening the Body of Christ and they have been doing so for many, many years. Our lack of unity is a blemish on Christ’s very purpose and on what it means to be a part of the family of God. Disunity often born out competition, which is simply disgraceful. We are to be working together to glorify Christ not working against one another to see who can out do who, whose ministry or church can be bigger, who can produce the most worship CD’s or write the most books. Remember if you want to be first you will most likely end up being last – last in the Kingdom of God, maybe first in the world’s standards. How sad if the word’s standards are all you are ever able to achieve.
Spiritual/Political Disclaimer:
This blog will not be for the faint of heart or the easily offended. It will not be in any way politically correct. It will make every effort to share the truth in love, [Ephesians 4:11-16], to a decaying and dying society and church. I share what I share not to hurt, harm, or offend any person[s] or group; I do it because Christ’s Standard and Truth is not being represented by enough of His Followers and I do it out of love. I love enough to tell His Truth.
Ephesians 4:11-16 NKJV
11And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, 13till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; 14that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, 15but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— 16from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
