Truth in Love – blog entry

Monday, January 21, 2013

Read the following as if it were written just for you, as I am going to try to communicate a couple of spiritual principles to you.

You are trying to get all the help you can – yet, nothing is working. Why? Because you are trying to get all the help, you can.

You get angry because people will not appease you but appeasing you is not what you need. All the help in the world is not going to help you. Here is what is going to help you; the applied work of the Cross [Jesus] and Truth [Jesus]. First focus on meeting “Truth” then understanding who Christians are in Christ and the power of the work of the cross.

It seems you do not want to accept the simple truth, you expect it to be so much more – so you keep searching and searching. Moreover, you will keep on searching and searching. You will keep going from person to person, program to program, idea to idea, one experience to another experience [which is going to really make a difference or so your mind tells you] – – doing nothing but wondering around in the wilderness and plenty of people will be more than willing to help you stay there so you can feed their egos – but you will not see the victory you wish to have, the healing you so crave, etc. through these means if you just keep running to __________. When it is all over and you have searched high and low – – suffering needlessly in the process – – you will discover that the two things I told you from the beginning are the only two things that are going to matter in life, healing, change, and spiritual growth – Truth coupled with Jesus’ work on the cross [actually applied] to a life is the only thing that WORKS.

In order to find victory you must be willing to submit to victory. If you are unwilling to submit, it is as if Jesus is working with His hands tied.

What you have to keep in mind is that accessing the spiritual power of the Godhead will always come through Christ, it will always come in Jesus’ name, and it will always be a manifestation of the work of the cross. All spiritual growth, any change you have in your life, any recovery, any healing, any renewal, any answered prayer, anything that is godly and spiritual in a godly nature will come to you and be appropriated to you by applying the work of the cross; that is the only way it is coming to you or going to manifest in or around your life, is by applying the work of the cross.

Spiritual/Political Disclaimer:

This blog will not be for the faint of heart or the easily offended. It will not be in any way politically correct. It will make every effort to share the truth in love, [Ephesians 4:11-16], to a decaying and dying society and church. I share what I share not to hurt, harm, or offend any person[s] or group; I do it because Christ’s Standard and Truth is not being represented by enough of His Followers and I do it out of love. I love enough to tell His Truth.

Ephesians 4:11-16 NKJV

11And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, 13till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; 14that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, 15but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— 16from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.

Truth in Love – blog entry

Monday, January 14, 2013

A principle expressed by many in different ways but stated best, in my opinion, by Margaret Thatcher, former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1979 –1990 and in political service from 1959-1990.

A paraphrase

THOUGHTS

Watch your thoughts or they will become your words.

WORDS

Guard your words or they will become your actions.

ACTIONS

Govern your actions or they will become your habits.

HABITS

Safeguard your habits or they will become your character.

CHARACTER

Value and protect your character for it WILL determine your destiny.

DESTINY

WHAT WE THINK WE BECOME.

Philippians 4:8 (NKJV)

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.
